Even thinning it down left it still on the side of "not transparent". Usually you should be able to work up a good base or gradually work the color in to get the desired effect but you can achieve that with a quick wisp of the brush in just one or two strokes overly covering what lies underneath. Not a bad paint for beginners but for pro effects you are better with createx or a higher brand.
