The main components are the Space Shuttle (Orbiter) with three re-usable main engines, an external fuel tank and two solid fuel rockets with a total take-off thrust of 12.46 MN (1,270,566 kp). The Space Shuttle can convey a 24.5 ton payload as well as 7 astronauts into a Low Earth Orbit of between 200 and 650 kilometres. Other paints may be needed in small quantities depending on which paint scheme you use, and how much detail you wish to put in **Q: Are all the paints required for the model. Along with brushes and glue available as a complete kit to buy with the model ?** A: Model Set version 64544 contains the kit, glue, a paintbrush and 4 of the main colours required for the kit. As this is a Skill Level 4 kit for intermediate modellers, the belief is that many builders will already have a selection of paints in their collection to complete the rest. **Q: The black nose and around the window is that transfer or paint?** A: The nose section must be painted black. The black framing around the windows is supplied as a decal and a decal softener is recommended to get it to conform properly to this irregular surface.
