It doesn't seem clear what direction the band took with this album but I just don't find it appealing to listen to and it's mostly made up of nonsense and almost takes itself even less seriously than previous efforts to the point where it is nowhere near as cleverly written as those catchy E6 albums that proceed this one.Previously my least favourite album of Electric Six's was Zodiac but this one takes the new crown as the least catchy and least likable in my opinion. This is not to say there aren't decent tracks on this album, New Shampoo and Cheryl vs Daryl are probably the most likable out of the bunch but everything else just feels like an off cut, ideas picked up from the studio floor and thrown together to see if it'll stick.I honestly feel the band excel at electric synth sounds and perhaps this has tried a more funk approach with very mixed results, I'm not saying the band should stick to one sound but the music on this album isn't their finest hour. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fab *by B***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 January 2014* It took a while to get into , like many E6 albums, and indeed, all the best albums ever, but worth the effort!
