She had very soft stools and she looked like a bag of bones. It didn't help that she didn't seem to like the food either. I changed to Royal Canin and have NOT looked back. She loves this kibble and has gained weight and is now in fantastic shape as well as her stools being good and firm. I would definitely say this brand of dog food is well worth paying that little bit more for to have a healthy, happy puppy and peace of mind for me too. It was just taped shut when it arrived.** A: I Have never had this puppy food without the string at the top. I would be suspicious of its authenticity. Try ringing Royal Canin and they can inform you if any bags have been produced without the string closing. I have contacted them previously over something else and they were very helpful.
