This seemed the best reviewed DC44 Animal (Mk1) charger unit available. It's not the cheapest for sale, but seems to be the most reliable on offer. I thought I'd give it a go to see if the reviews were correct. While I can't speak for those reviewers who've had unfortunate results, I am very pleased with my purchase so far. I thought my original Dyson and two 3rd party battery packs had eventually failed. Not so. Apparently the failure was the charger that came with the DC44. I plugged the charger into the battery packs, and I now have a working cleaner once again. It does get rather warm, so I let the charger cool down between batteries. No problems noted. Very happy with purchase.

I had a US charger, I bought this for my Dyson V15 Detect, and it fits perfectly and the charger has charging status LED indicator tells Green when it’s full , Orange when it’s charging

The charger is not compatible with Dyson v10 original battery. The changer’s output should be 25.2V -=- 20.8A.
