A: The USB will only work off of your 12 volt battery using the ring harness (accessory cable). 
The solar panel is designed to connect directly to the 12 volt battery by way of ring harness (accessory cable).
Our solar panels will not provide a change until it is connected to a 12volt automotive style battery that has at least 3 volts.
