It has littlerally taken me 10 minutes to get comfortable enough to let go of the wall. I'm not saying I can balance forever, but at least I'm able to catch myself without grabbing on to the wall! This board is super sturdy!!!The reason I purchased it was because I use to be a ballerina and I was super fit.... Then college and work became my priority and I stopped working out. I clearly let myself go and am the heaviest I've ever been. With that being said, I also lost my balance. I've gotten to the point that I've fallen twice just from stepping the wrong way. Tripping is one thing, but to fall and not be able to catch yourself at the age of 25 is ridiculous!I am motivated to gain my balance back with this beautiful pink balance board and start losing weight while having fun. I only gave 4 stars because the surface is quite rough. Although it is a little uncomfortable just starting out without shoes, the rough surface I think will wear down over time and is of course doing its job keeping my feet in place. I haven't had a chance to use it to its full ability yet due to time constraints. I have tried the indo board at a friend's house and prefer this board due to the shape and the long balance rod. I also really like that there is an indentation on the underside where the balance rods nestle into. I did quite a bit of research on the balance board options before deciding on this one. I am a novice surfer and am really looking forward to using this to improve balance and gain strength in surfing positions.
