I particularly like that this game doesn't require you to follow the story line unless you want to unlock new characters. Some areas are locked and need a certain character's skill to unlock, but if you or your child just want to run around and take in the sights - There is plenty to see and do without doing the story line. My 5 year old and I play together frequently, where he will drive around having fun (particularly at the fair! He loves going on the rides) and I will head off and do the story line. All of the characters have amusing things to say, some of which have my partner and i chuckling.
