I'm not exactly sure what size a traditional medicinal tea bag is but it fits a regular individually packaged tea bag just fine. **Q: Is this 2.2 inches high or wide? Thanks!** A: 2.2" wide and a tad less than 2" high (outside dimensions). The interior of the tray is less than 2" wide. The outside width is clearly due to the acrylic being thick and sturdy, but not heavy. It is the perfect dimensions for a sugar or sweetener packet and holds 30-50 (Sugar being thicker than sweeteners). **Q: How many sweetener packs will this hold?** A: Probably 30-40 standing up. **Q: Are they stackable?** A: Not really.
