I took my SRC recently and with the aid of this book I absolutely flew through it. Very, very clear and simple step by step instructions on how to use the VHF radio for normal as well as emergency communications. Extremely graphically illustrated with colorful animated characters conversing on the radio to and fro. Covers the use of all necessary electronic rescue equipment. Fantastic publication, highly recommend.

If you are taking the VHF SRC (Short Range Certificate) course then look no further. Tim Bartlett has done a magnificent job with this book as a learning aid. This is just what you need to prepare for the SRC exam. Well written and concise it is easy to read and covers the syllabus comprehensively. Just a pity that it doesn't include a couple of mock exam papers, or at least specimen questions at the end of each section, which would allow one to check ones progress.
