I have not used this yet, I am still modifying my kayak to be able to mount a trolling motor on it, but i will say that the quality of this motor mount is ABSOLUTELY UNMATCHED it is a thing of BEAUTY!!! The welds are AMAZING if you can even see them and NOT because they ground them down OH NO its because they did a perfectly flawless job of laying those beads down, probably done by a machine and if thats the case then it is one HIGH DOLLAR piece of equipment!!!! that is just the welds, the rest of the piece is just as amazing, the outside corners, inside corners the Delrin plates, the finish EVERY PART PERFECT!!! So i have not put it to use but i can GUARANTEE it will be GREAT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Newport Trolling Motor Mount!!!

This is by far the best trolling motor mount on the market in my opinion.. it's thick enough to clamp any style motor to, it has a plate inside so even if your motor comes loose you want lose it as it locks it in. It's super well built and robust but still crazy light. I've put this on 2 kayak builds so far and absolutely love it!
