Thomas & Friends Trackmaster Diesel Engine

Fantastic little engine , well made and sturdy especially for 3year olds.

Thomas Trackmaster are great toys for children of all ages. This is the new style (revolution) engine with the spiked wheels to allow for steeper climbing. Charlie is excellent and is brightly coloured and durable. My son has now had this for well over a year and it is still in perfect condition. They stand the test of time and really work well.

Its great! The boys love it. The only issue we have is that there's no auto-shut-off - so when the two year old switches it on and then immediately forgets about it we find it later still running. Inevitably the batteries need replacing constantly. Nevertheless they love this as much as any other; the winch is a fun detail and the colours are good. This is very sturdy and has withstood many throws and crashes!

My son is a train fanatic and he loves this train given to him by his great grandfather. The train was everything as it should be and at the cheapest price I’ve seen. It’s a historical train and a great addition to my sons Thomas & friends collection.

I bought this as an additional engine for my 3 year old son who was gifted a trackmaster set for his birthday. He loves this engine and plays with it like a typical 3 year old - not always on the tracks! I am impressed the engine still runs and only needs battery changes! Would have been perfect if these also made some engine noises for the price paid. But this is my observation as an adult, not my son's, who loves this engine and has no complaints!

This is a great quality engine as are the rest of the engines from Thomas and Friends collection. I love this one just because it’s gold. My little boy has really enjoyed playing with this. Batteries last a good while in them too.

This is my little boys favourite train. He has a few of the track master tracks which we put all together to make a big track for it to go on. It does drain batteries so quickly though, we put Duracell batteries in and they was dead by the end of the day, so it's costing us a fortune in batteries!! Other than that it's great

This is a funny product, it is NOT compatible with Brio or other similar brands of wooden train sets, but it is of similar size. The crane engine is a bit too high and It does not work well on the normal wooden tracks being used. It won’t go around tight corners, it falls off, or it won’t go under bridges, too high and it will not climb ramps in the track, wheelbase is a tad too long. It does not use a magnetic catch to connect to other train cars, but rather plastic hooks. It only goes forward and it is quite noisy. It does not work well on carpets, so about the only option is using it on wooden floors, going in 1 direction only. Try explaining all this to a 3 year old….anyway definitely not a fan of what is being sold here, even as a stand alone unit!

Muy lindo en cuanto a su colorido, pero creo que todos estos trenes de la colección Thomas y sus amigos, son bastante caros por lo que son.

This little train is too cute! All the kids at my grandsons birthday party loved it. I had read reviews that the drum doesn’t fit under Thomas Train tunnels, but one reviewer said it worked with Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Fix 'Em Up Friends Train And Track. Boy was he right. It works beautifully & the track & train that comes with it are super fun for kids. Thanks!
