I believe the board is set into the base and would not easily come out !! The top is curved and the bottom straight so would not look in my opinion right in a landscape position !! **Q: Is this board porous? I bought the recommended pen above but it cant be used on porous surface?? Please help** A: I used a chalk pen which worked brilliantly, but have never erased what was written as we use the board to write a wedding message to our guests and have decided to keep it as momento from the day.
