Master Key Stage 1 mathematics in just 10 minutes a day with the activities in this essential home learning maths workbook from Carol Vorderman 10 Minutes a Day Maths is a homeschool learning resource for 5 to 7 year olds that teaches kids maths in bite-sized chunks. Children prefer to learn in short bursts, making this workbook from Carol Vorderman the perfect homeschool introduction to maths. Games and tests make learning fun, leading to maximum results in just 10 minutes a day. Topics include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measuring, patterns, shapes, and much more. The parents' notes section gives the answers, explains common pitfalls, and gives guidance on how to avoid them. Carol Vorderman's 10 Minutes a Day KS1 workbooks are the perfect at-home reinforcement for subjects learned in school and support the National Curriculum. Review: Great gimmick to help maths practice with reluctant children - This balances well between teaching a concept and practicing it - they are a good number of questions per page at differing levels. It isn't dis-similar in approach in that respect from a number of other publications, but what I loved and the children loved was the chance to time themselves and know that it really was only ten minutes. It's amazing what a little gimmick can do in terms of a child's enthusiasm to run upstairs and do maths!! I have used this book in two ways, firstly starting at the front and working through, but then when my child has been doing a certain topic in maths, I have gone to that page and the focused practice has helped her comprehension of the subject at school. I like Carol Vorermans way of teaching the subject - I think the style of her books is user friendly and engaging, but this timer really helps and is a great concept. Review: Super revision book for parents or teachers - Super book covering lots of aspects of infant age Maths. I would recommend this book to parents who want to give their children a boost at home or for parents of younger children who are ready for age 5-7 Maths. 10 minutes a day focused time would really bring a child on and give them confidence in the areas that they struggle with. Like the layout and format of the book. I will use this book in school with my SEN children in my department that need help revising topics/concepts that they find tricky. I have also used these types of books as a supply teacher as extension work/settling down in the morning work - well worth the price.

Learning at home made fun
These are great as they walk through each task and help the kids develop their skills such as maths or spelling. There are different activities and each one designed to assist a child to learn. Will be buying these for our younger child soon.

Love this. Great resource
Love these maths workbooks. Ive been supporting a reluctant 5 year old and he is working through this well. It helps me to understand which concepts he does and doesn't grasp. Love the built in timer, easy to use. Right amount of content on each 2 pages

Absolutely perfect! Keeps kids interested & thoroughly covers syllabus
This was a fantastic purchase for my 5 year old son. He's more than happy to do 10mins and the timer helps keep him motivated. The work is within syllabus guidelines but also includes fun pictures and little games allowing them to cover all areas including measuring, shapes, counting lines etc. Really pleased with this book.

Marvellous aid to learning
Many different ways to make the child think maths and remember the path to the answer

Difficult for a 5 year old
The age range is I think misleading - my average ability (recently turned 5 year old) isn't able to do the book yet. Perhaps if it was structured with easy questions first it might be doable, however it's structured by topic, and most of the topics are beyond us currently.

Great product to go alongside schoolwork
The timer on these books is great as it isn't too long but gives them a goal to do some maths without feeling like they are missing out on playtime. Content of books is really good and appropriate for age range. Can only be a good thing to encourage progression in maths.

Ana
In my opinion it has different levels in same page and makes it kind of difficult for age 7. Regards
