My grandma used to read it to me as a little girl. Watching the little boy grow up and having his mum sneak into his room for cuddles and singing him "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be". She even comes to cuddle him after hes moved out. Then mom gets sick and her son does it and goes home after cuddling his mom and singing to her and does the same to his daughter. Fantastic story about how little traditions are passed down in families. It meant the world to me as a child as my grandmother read it to me all the time. I remembered the line of the book and when I had a son of my own I bought the book. Just like the song, this story becomes a tradition that is passed down and cherished for generations.
