Cleaning your camera sensor is a delicate operation, and not everyone has the dexterity required to work with small, sensitive components. But if you feel happy to try this, make sure you follow the instructions included with the kit to-the-letter.This kit should only be used for dirt that is stuck on the sensor. So before using the kit you should try the following:-1. if the camera has an in-built "Dust Removal" mode, try this first,2. then use a "puffer" to try to blow away dust and fine threads or hairs,3. then use a fine lens cleaning brush if the first 2 steps are not successful.If the dirt is removed (or even just moved from one area of the sensor to another) then you don't need to use this kit. You can use the 3 dry-cleaning methods above.Each time you use a swab (as directed in the kit instructions) be prepared to go through the 3 dry-cleaning methods again if you still see dirt or maybe small threads deposited by the swab itself. There is no point in using a second swab to chase threads deposited by the first swab. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not bad but not a perfect job *by F***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2015* The product appears to be reasonably good quality, all the pads are individually sealed and there's plenty of the cleaning fluid. The sensor on my mirrorless camera was very dirty, with dust and a couple of fine hairs. Interchangeable lenses and a mirrorless system seems to be a recipe for dirty sensors, but that's another story. The first cleaning pad did a decent enough job of removing most of the visible crud. I applied a second pad to try to finish the job, it improved things a bit further, but a test shot showed that more than a few specks of dust remained. (In case you don't know, it's easy to check for dust by taking an out-of-focus picture of a clear sky at a narrow aperture - the dust particles show up clearly when you zoom in on the shot). So this product has improved things greatly, but not got the sensor back to pristine condition.Delivery time wasn't a big issue for me, but the pads took over a week to arrive, coming after the estimated delivery window. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Swabs & Fluid excellent, packaging not so good. *by J***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 February 2015* I bought this kit to clean the sensor of my Canon 40D. I have a rocket-type air blower and a sensor brush which I use to rid the sensor of any minor dust, but they were proving ineffective on persistent dust spots.I had never cleaned a camera sensor in this way before, but following the supplied instructions was easy. It took 4 swabs to remove all of the dust to my satisfaction, but I don't think I used enough pressure with the first swab, being quite apprehensive about touching the sensor at all.The only quibble I have with this kit is with the bottle containing the fluid, it seems to be made of a very flimsy plastic. Some of the fluid had already leaked out in transit. The dropper part didn't fit the neck of the bottle correctly, with the result that when the bottle was tilted in order to apply the '2 or 3 drops' of fluid (as per the instructions) to the swab, the fluid leaked out of the sides of the faulty stopper. This meant that cleaning solution ran all over my fingers and onto the work surface, which made it very difficult to measure accurately how many drops actually hit the swab.The sensor was spotless after treatment, so I was satisfied that the kit works.
