Review: The answer to decal problems - I can say nothing but positives for this product. Using Games Workshop decals is very tough as they are thick decals and trying to get them to stay on or look good is tough. I used Micro Set and Micro Sol first to shape the decals and then tried Vallejo Satin Varnish after hearing many recommendations. My decals literally look painted on! they are fantastic and won't peel off. This also makes 2 layered combi-decalling possible. If you are frustrated with decals not going on right, try this product. The best buy I've had since taking up modelling.

The decal can be re-positioned to get it into place, and helps it conform over uneven surfaces. Micro Sol is used to "SOLVENT" the decals, i.e., it melts the decal into the paintwork. Once you apply Micro Sol, you have about 3 seconds before it takes effect. The decal cannot be moved so make sure it's in place first. Use Micro Set first, get the decal in place, then use Micro Sol.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it work on glass?**
A: It is designed to help decal attach on freshly painted surface. Another product named MicroSol can follow on to permanantly disolve decals onto the acrylic paint. But I assume it will get rid of static surface on glass but will not help bound in any manner. Cheers.

**Q: What is the difference between microsol and microset?**
A: Microsol softens the decals and microset sets them, be sure to wipe the area down after though as various varnishes such as Humbrol clear can have a chemical reaction resulting in hazing of the varnish.

**Q: do you have to have micro sol as well to set the decals or will this do just fine?**
A: Micro Set is used to set the decals. Micro Sol can help in case the decals goes on a surface that is not smooth such as panel lines on a plane.

**Q: Can you use this stuff to move a misplaced, already stuck down and dry decal?**
A: I shouldnt think so,,, however depending on the type of support (the clear film)what you can try is soaking the decal in warm soapy water, this can take a while,, once its free you can carefully use microset to reset the thing but if in doubt use a tiny bit of diluted pva...Microset and Microsol both soften and weaken the support so the decal can conform so go careful and best of luck....

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My favourite decal fix by far

After using other brands before, I can say this is by far the best I have used. It allows the decal to be moved easily until you are happy with its position. It dries perfectly with no horrible shine around the decal, and it sets the decals into panel lines really really well. Great for all modellers applying decals!
