Very noisy neighbour in flat above, sounds like he's on a 'route march' & does deliberately 2b annoying.Would this device capture this stomping noise?

Hi sorry about your noisy neighbour. This would definately capture the noise from the flat above. However, It does not have a history log so time, date and location would need to be done manually by yourself. if you want to capture these attributes then you would need a much more expensive device. But this unit will instantly capture any sounds as it is suppossed to do. i hope this helps.

Can the noise recordings/information be downloaded and printed out to show evidence of noise?

I do not see any point on the meter which allows downloading. If you are building a case for a noise complaint it is sufficient to write down the readings over a period of time and accompany the results with an explanation of what you did together with a "statement of truth". There is other more sphisticated equipment that you can get but much more expensive.

Is this capable of recording overnight readings and storing them, for finding the 'peak' and mean average?

Sorry. This sound level meter can only measuring sound level in real time. Data cannot be recorded overnight since it would be shut down automatically after a while.

Could this be used to measure road noise?

Hello, yes. Detection object: ambient noise. Frequency range: 31.5Hz~4kHz, range: 40~130dB
