Brilliant !
Came Exactly as advertised and quickly. It's brought back such nostalgic gaming and everything seems to still work fine with it . I would recommend buying one at the right price from a trusted highly rated seller. I was lucky and got that , its a brilliant piece of gaming history especially as you can play some older games that you can download from the eshop . As of now the eshop for 3DS is still running even though all DS models have been discontinued. The usual eshop card I buy works with the Switch and most other platforms including the 3DS so you are able to buy funds and download older games and the games that were out on the 3DS . It's great for pokemon as blue , red , yellow , gold , silver , crystal pokemon games are available on the eshop on 3DS (not switch or Wii U) and obviously all DS and 2DS cartridges will work with my 3DS XL . I've used Pokemon Pearl , Black , White , Soul Silver and Heart Gold fine with my 3DS and they are all older DS games . If you want to play any Gameboy Advance games your better of getting a certain older model of DS that has both Gameboy Advance cartridge slots and DS slots but as far as I am aware no 3DS was released to take Gameboy Advance cartridges aswell . So choose wisely and always read any reviews of how the , what has to be now , second hand 3DS , 2DS , DS or any retro console was recieved . It's never great paying a lot of money for a retro console that is promised to be in immaculate condition to arrive broken or faulty . Keep on Gaming !

So much better than previous models
I had the original 3ds and couldn't use the 3d function because it gave me a headache after 5 minutes. This model tracks your eyes and the 3d follows you. It is so much better. I can play for hours and it doesn't give me a headache. I was also sceptical before playing this model that 3d was a gimmick and wouldn't add anything to my gaming experience. Having played a few Zelda games I am totally convinced 3d is the way forward. The resolution by today's standards is very low on the 3ds but with the 3d you feel that you are immersed in the game and there is so much more detail to be seen. As other people have said this should have been the original 3ds. As for build quality, batter life etc..... It looks nice and feels nice. It's not iPhone quality its plastic but its still good. Doesn't come with a charger.

I AM OUTRAGED and I took nearly a year to review AND AM STILL OUTRAGED.
Forever ago (MARCH 2016) I purchased a ‘New’ Nintendo 3DS, and I'm only reviewing now because I tried transferring my data the '3DS transfer' way - since for some stupid reason they thought putting the Micro SD slot on a virtually unreachable part of the handheld was a good idea - then it told me I could only transfer so much from my old 3DS’ 32GB because Nintendo again made a poor decision for users of previous models in the franchise, in that the device came with the worst-sized 4GB Micro SD card. I think the world and previous consumers deserve 8GB, Nintendo. Anyway, in the end I was willing to let that slide in favour of actually getting any of my stuff onto the new, hard to use device, so I ended up trying to use 3DS transfer overnight because I had college at the time and there’d have been no time during the day that I could reasonably transfer my data. Long story short on that method, thought it would do it quick enough that it wouldn’t run out of charge, couldn’t find my second 3DS charger at the time so I thought ‘okay then whatever’ and the next morning I find the one not plugged in (probably the new one) had conked out long before being able to finish. A little later I had to get one of my oldest brothers to undo the two IMPOSSIBLE screws of the back panel that were keeping me from the Micro SD, but since I had no means to read Micro SD cards and transfer the data from both devices onto one collective smol card, I left it sitting open forEVER. It was purchased in late March of 2016, that’s how long I’ve had this completely unusable expensive crud and how long I’ve been holding off on receiving updates on my old 3DS for the sake of the data not conflicting later on. Today I have a multi-reader and a 64GB Micro SD card, so tonight was the night. Unlike the 3DS transfer method, this only took half an hour, an hour tops (PRAISE THE 3.O PORT GODS), and then willfully in the knowledge that I could have made a mistake, I re-screwed the screws to the best of my ability when I put the card in and the base panel back on. I think because there was technically TWO copies of certain bits of weirdly named data on the collective card, the new 3DS now refuses to read the card. And I can’t get the base panel undone again because Nintendo has fun making screws so tiny THEY DON’T TURN. EVER. AND I HAVE NO END TO THE TINY SCREWDRIVERS I OWN. All in all, it’s a terrible thing that I can't ever seem it use the New Nintendo 3DS. And it doesn’t help that while I was fitting and unfitting cards, the new 3DS turned on without my knowledge, Real great face-slapping design there, Nintendo, putting the card slot in an unreachable position and putting the power button on the very hit-able front side, I’d happily burn you all down. The Nintendo Switch better be better than this tom-flippery. I AM OUTRAGED.

Amazon are awesome. They are very easy to return broken products ...
What to say about my experience with the New Nintendo 3DS XL.... First of all, Amazon are awesome. They are very easy to return broken products to and will send out one the next day if you are a Prime member. However, I am now on my third 3DS since the start of the week. First time, creaky hinges and sticky circle pad forced a return. Second a long scratch on the screen. Now hopefully it'll be fine (I have inspected my new one to the littlest of details). However I have to wait till Monday for Nintendo to move my NNID to my New New New 3DS XL. Otherwise, this is my first 3DS ever, having only owned the original DS. And it's fun. Not as good as my Vita with the brilliant Playstation Plus membership, but good none the less, and the nostalgia of Pokemon is on another level.

Amazing
I decided to try and get back into Pokemon as a 30 year old after not playing since I was 13 and bought a 2DS last year. I enjoyed the game but it didn't find the console anything spectacular, or as if I could justify using it as a busy adult! Then after Pokemon Go I thought I'd give it another shot and bought this! Completely different ball game. It's amazing. Bought Pokemon Omega ruby and I'm enjoying it more than the previous attempt to be a kid again. It's just an amazingly designed piece of tech that feels and looks great, it's mega fast and the xl screen is unbelievably important me to me. It makes a huge difference to me and I now know where I went wrong with the 2ds. The 3D effect is great in certain games where it's subtle but isn't really for me otherwise. I just love the massive screen, quality and slick build and how fast and nice it is to use. Love you Nintendo, this is amazing.

A Great Handheld, Not Worth The Upgrade
The New Nintendo 3DS XL has had me playing for hours, around 65 in the past 20 days to be precise. It comes with some great in- built applications such as miiverse (a fantastic sharing community!) and some brilliant new features, compared to the last iteration of the 3DS XL: The 3D head tracker definitely prevents the headache of a view when you aren't in the sweet spot and allows you to enjoy being on 3D mode; the added amiibo support is definitely a nice touch to the 3DS especially for people who enjoy toys- to- life products; the ZL and ZR buttons add additional support and functionality in various games; and the C- stick, well despite looking like the end of a pencil rubber, allows for some a pleasing variation in camera angles. The New 3DS XL comes with a manual and AR cards, like all version of the 3DS, however so far I am yet to touch these. Having had previous 3DS's I have learn't that Nintendo's Augmented Reality Games are something you play once and not much after that, similar to face raiders. The console has several other in- built applications: Mii Maker- A fun game to play with friends in which you make your own quirky characters, which can be used in Nintendo Games such as unlockable characters in Mario Kart 7. Mii Plaza- Streetpass Mii Plaza is personally one of my favourite apps, it allows you to trade mii's which aid you in fun mini- games through two people passing within a certain distance who both have their 3DS's on sleep mode, there are also streetpass features in many games such as Happy Home Academy in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Besides the e-shop, I doubt you will find yourself using many of the others at all, as I don't. As I mentioned earlier I have had many 3DS's before, I had the original, then the original XL which I then sold and a year later got another however after all that inconsistency I feel that this is the 3DS that suits me, due to colour preference I purchased the metallic blue copy which I bought for £170 and wouldn't have bought for much higher, so I should wait for it to be lower if it were much higher than this if I were you. NOTE- the New 3DS XL does not include a charger as Nintendo assume that they are so good that everybody has one already, if you would like to purchase one you can here- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Power-Adapter-3DS/dp/B008DS4Y3K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484169348&sr=8-2&keywords=3ds+charger The battery life so far has been as expected, not as long as Nintendo could've possibly made it but unless you are on a long journey you probably won't notice. I would also if you intend to make lots of purchases buy a bigger SD card as the 4gb probably won't last long for people who purchase digitally, (The system takes Micro SD cards.) There are many games I would recommend, as an Avid Mario fan though, these recommendations may be slightly bias: Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario Maker, my favourite though being Animal Crossing: New Leaf. If you have amiibo I would also recommend getting Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge for free from the e-shop and as many demos as you can (make the most of your uses remaining!) This 3DS is very comfortable to hold however the sleek finish to it makes for a fantastic finger- print magnet, something I'm not particularly fond of. Nintendo also offers a My Nintendo programme which offers rewards such as money off games and free home theme's which I would make the most of. The New 3DS XL is definitely worth it for anyone interested in the Handheld or Nintendo Market who is buying the console for the first time, however for people who enjoy the version of the 3DS they already have I doubt it is worth the upgrade. I give this Console a 4/5

Ottima esperienza!
