It'll accept over the counter butane gas cans for lighters (DO NOT use an adaptor/head). The flame has plenty of reach and a nice diameter and the gas flow is mostly even giving you a good flame. This would get a full 5 stars but one thing should be noted this model DOES NOT have a safety lock like the description says (even the instruction say it does).
