They work!
The ear plugs really do work! My partner snores very loudly and, at last, I can get a good night's sleep.

Best earplugs I've used
I've used a number of different disposable earplugs over the past year through work, on the motorcycle and when inconsiderate housemates are noisy at night or ridiculously early in the morning (which is most days in the last two places I've lived). These are the most comfortable earplugs I've ever used, even slightly more comfortable than the other hearos ones. Great noise reduction. Only downside may be that they are quite large. I've not had a problem putting them in, but someone with smaller ear canals might; my girlfriend finds it difficult to get them to stay in, but I can't be certain she's getting them in far enough in the first place. I've found making the ends as pointy as you can makes it much easier to get them far enough into your ears to be effective and stay in properly. Pulling your ear lobes down and back with the opposite hand seems to be the recommended technique as well. Once you've got the technique down it takes just seconds to fit each side. I've been using these most nights now, they've been a godsend. Now I never have to worry about not being able to sleep due to noisy, inconsiderate people (who there seems to be an awful lot of in this world). I often used to sleep terribly when starting in hotels working away, as there's always someone with their TV on late at night, or someone who likes to get up at 6am and is incapable of not slamming their door when they leave their room. Idiots. Definitely recommend these if your looking for quality disposable earplugs. I doubt you'll find anything better.

Snore-Away!
Bought these to help me sleep at times when my partner's "not snoring" is particularly terrifying. Roll them up as thin as you can with your fingers, quickly jam them into your ear canal (each one is different so the ease of inserting really does vary - I find a twisting motion helps) - and wait for them to expand in your ear as a blissful silence descends... You can still sort of feel some vibration through your skull bone, but that's nothing to do with the ear plugs themselves. The noise is reduced to a mere fraction of what it was, making all the difference between plotting murder and falling nicely asleep. On the nights I wear them, they stay in for almost the entire night, and when they come out the ears feel perfectly OK. I find that I can get 4-5 uses out of each before they get a bit waxy and no longer expand quite so well in your ear. But at the price, and with so many in the box, it's a great value, and definitely a product to keep by the bedside.

Need clean ears to use it! READ ON
READ FULL when i checked out the reviews this product seemed worth getting but when i go it I `THOUGHT` a load of rubbish 1.there was no manual in how to use it so i had to watch a video on youtube 2. fitting into the ear is time consuming and did fit not into my ears at all even when i rolled between my thumbs for a while and followed the correct technique. just would not go into my ear properly. kept sticking out.who has time to roll between their fingers anyway you want to get it done and over with Must be my poor technique! ive used bioears soft sillicone earplugs and within 5-10 seconds and minus 20 decibels. not as much as hearos minus 30 but 20 decibels is a hell of a lot. worked brilliant for me, my house is thin so when your in your bedroom you can hear the tv on downstairs even if it is sligtly so this worked wonders my mum comes into my room doing the hoover while im a sleep! and with bioears you can barely hear it. for even loud snoring etc i would definitely recommemnd you can get it from amazon for around £4. in the period between 1st using hearos (only used once up to this point and writing this review i cleaned my ears using them white sticks, i dont have bad hygiene by the way i usually clean them once a week any way. So i tried hearos again cos i was thinking of giving it 1 out of 5 stars but when i rolled between my fingers and put it in my ears it went straight in. couldnt believe it hearos is more lasting than bioears as their lose their stickyness with wax in your earand lifespan is 1 week or so. bioears feels nasty when taken out of your ear hearos is VERY GOOD so is bioears its just not that longlasting

"I need a hearo...."
"I need a hearo..." (cue Bonnie Tyler...) I have tried loads of different ear plugs - some quite expensive - some shaped like little cones, some rainbow coloured, some made of wax, etc; etc; These are the business! Comfortable to wear, they don't fall out, and they effectively block about 90% of extraneous noise: snoring partner, bass music from outside... Absolutely brilliant. I would just say - wear them consistently to get best effect. If you use them one night, but not the next, you don't get used to sleeping with them. Just stick em in every night, and I'm sure you'll be delighted. They squidge up nice and tight, and then unfurl quite strongly in the ear-drum: I used each pair for about a week, and after that they lose their 'bounce'. But - a bargain for a good night's sleep: just hope they never stop making them! "I need a hearo, I'm holding out for a hearo in the morning light..." (Sorry Bonnie)!

New Hearos Extreme Protection
I have been using Hearos Extreme Protection Series earplugs for years, they have been by far the best quality and most effective at noise reduction at this price. These new design 'easy grip' are awful. The material they are now made from feels so cheap and flimsy compared to the far denser original earplugs. They claim the same 33db NRR as the original but I find that impossible to belive as they let in far,far more noise than their previous original counterparts. Like other long time customers I have no idea why Hearos have done this, the only likely candidate I can think of is to save money. Well it saddens me to say they've saved themselves from getting many more years of my money as I won't be buying them again, unless of course Hearos see sense and bring back the truly excellent product these earplugs once were.

Hearos are heroes!!
SO amazing! Having previously been bothered multiple times by my flatmate walking around in his room above mine, I had tried a LOT of earplugs. The basic ones, the silicone ones - they worked ok (although I could still hear my flatmate a bit) but would have been very expensive to keep buying also they made my ears feel hot and would sometimes affect the pressure in my ear. However, Hearos are absolutely amazing! Since buying these I have had many great uninterrupted nights sleep. They are not uncomfortable in my ears either, as with previous earplugs I would hear the sound of my carotid artery pulsating (odd I know). They also drop out during the night so I can still hear my morning alarm :)

Top quality
Really great plugs, you can feel the quality. I can't actually wear them , as they ar too thick/wide for my ear canals and am awaiting ear canal surgery to widen things up. I'll update once I'm healed from surgery and can insert them. Looking forward to it immensely.

Snoring Blockers -- Not Silver Bullets, but these Hearos are Our Heroes!
One of us has a snoring problem. One of us has a sleeping problem. Not a good mix! Without pointing any fingers -- these Hearos are our heroes! One of us has tried a lot of earplugs (the other has tried and is trying a number of snoring reduction methods). We had come to the conclusion that earplugs just don't work against snoring. It seems to happen at a level that just can't be blocked. After trying many foam plugs, and then the expensive ribbed ear-canal plugs that can run $30 a set, we were ready to give up. We have even spent some time in separate bedrooms, but that seems like a relationship tragedy. However, reading the numerous review on Hearos, many customers had said they provided respite even from ardent snoring. Huzzah! Worth a shot. We were skeptical, because these plugs are -- well, cheap. To cut to the chase: these are the best anti-snoring sound-blocks one of us has ever tried. Probably it is because of the quality of the foam. If you squeeze them between thumb and forefinger before inserting in your ear canal, you can get them well inside. The back of the plug should rest against, and be held in place, by the nearby "wall" of your ear. If there is sound in the room when you insert the plugs, as they expand to a custom-fit of your hearing canals, you will experience the silence grow. That said, they are not a silver bullet. If the other person is facing you, loudly sawing, the vibrations will penetrate. At that point, we advise against beating them about the neck and face. An agreement ahead of time that you may wake them with gentle nudges, and at that point, they will roll away, and certainly off their back (often the worst position for excessive snoring), onto their far side away from you -- that will go a long way. Often just the change of position will quiet the breathing. There are also devices. The watch-like thing that gives the snorer a little electric tingle when it picks up the vibrations, is worth a long-term try. So are many supplements (pills). One of the best is stinging nettle root, and slippery elm, if part of the breathing issue is allergies. The chin strap and nose plugs are not great options, in one of our opinions. By the way, some reviewers have said they use the plugs for a couple of days and then throw them away. Yes, they are cheap, but so is one of us. We prefer to take the gently used plugs and wash them in warm water and mild soap (a drop or two of dish detergent). Let them stand on a towel to dry. You can then use them again for a few days. All in all, as snoring blocks, these work well. We've also both used them when target shooting, and while cutting boards with a screaming skill saw. Recommended!
