In short, yes the tech is from PS3, and yes Sony could have done something to at least change the look of the controllers (different colours maybe, or some VR branding? Also the labels for buttons). However, I used them to play Rush of Blood which I have been enjoying with a DS4, and I have to say it really makes a difference. Aiming is accurate, responsive and really adds to the feeling of being in the game world . Looking forward to trying out a few other games with the controllers too. If getting the VR was a stretch budget wise then I would not say spending the additional money on the Move controllers is essential.
