This book was published to coincide with the BBC television programme of the same name . After an introduction there are 10 chapters recording the different types of land on the planet these are-frozen poles,forests,great plains,sands,mountain heights,the underworld,fresh waters,rain foressts, shallows and ocean depths. Excellent text with magnificent pictures all of the highest standard as expected from the BBC. 10 stars highly reconnended.

Excellent! Great photographs. Similar photographs from 'Planet Earth: As you've never seen it before', however it contains a lot more photographs. The book is smaller than the normal BBC books. Overall, great purchase.
