Quality product. My 4 yr old just loves playing with this toy. Intially I thought it would difficult to transform the toy between its roles. Its actually easy than you might think.

I just found out about Combiner Wars, I am an adult that still has a fondness for the toys of my youth, and I'm not afraid to admit it. There are obviously a ton of transformers lines out there, raging from G1 reissues to Masterpiece versions that are very expensive and have the best detail, but are more like models than toys. I really like combiner wars because I feel like you can get modern, fairly proportionate toys that have some faithfulness to the originals but aren't afraid to throw away some of the mistakes of the past. I also love that there is a very well done comic series for these by IDW that really enhances the toys. Some people say that modern toys use more inexpensive plastic but I found the plastic used here to be a strong, lightweight plastic entirely suited to a robust toy for posing or play. I also like the fact that you can use this toy in a combiner form with various other deluxe class toys from this series. In particular, I like the compact, modern design that fits in well with CW Megatron and CW Ultra Magnus Scale wise. You really a get a feeling of why Megatron was feared when he is towering over your Optimus. That Megatron is one of the best Megatron toys made, IMO if you don't mind giving up the gun mode. The original Megatron toy in the 80s sucked and didn't look like the cartoon or comics. So, to sum up, it's a great series if you want to capture some nostalgia, get a fun read that ties in a new, well done continuity for G1, and have some well-scaled toys with modern features in a highly collectible package. 5 stars

TRANSFORMERS Generation Voyager OPTIMUS Prime Figure It's a great figure by itself but the fact that it's part of the combiner series makes it even better. The quality is very good and my son is very happy with it. He should have the transforming down in a few more tries to do it on his own.
