The Elder Scrolls Online Gold Edition (PS4)

Great game now it's been revamped! If you're a fan of the Elder Scrolls series or MMO'S or both then this is definitely for you! From quests to dungeons and crafting items and gear plus lots more there's always something to do in the game. Very enjoyable.

Brought the game however with a 40 Gig update and not able to play until this is downloaded, I've not even played it. I imagine it's a good game but with a slow internet connection abroad I'm not wasting my time.

Awesome game and great price for the 4 DLC's as well as the game, was very sceptical about buying as I read the reviews about the gold edition voucher code being out of date (which it was, expired end of last year) however the code still worked for me 😊

Good game. Full of content and graphics are excellent

It looks like an Elder Scrolls game but doesn’t feel like an ES game. Having been a huge fan of the series since Morrowind I found this difficult to get to grips with. As a multiplayer (which I know ESO is designed for) it is probably great, personally I do not enjoy multiplayer games but ESO IS playable as single player. Ignoring the towns filled with people sprinting everywhere, and randomly setting the place on fire, it is quite enjoyable until we come to the BUT. Grind, grind and grind some more. I ended up creating many characters just to collect materials for my main character and found myself spending more time in loading screens than playing the game. I based myself in Daggerfell and went to the same basement just outside of town to steal all the loot and break it down to increase my blacksmithing over and over and over again. Now grinding is fine; in a RPG it dull if you spend 5 min playing then find yourself the top bod in a guild (Skyrim gripe). So I get spending hours honing your skills but this brings me on to my next bad point, fighting. The fighting is simply terrible. There is so little skill involved. A bit of QTE (and I do mean a bit) but the sword and shield combos are practically pointless. In Skyrim blocking and bashing had an effect, not in ESO. in the end I got a great sword and rushed enemy’s mashing the trigger and throwing a few spells in their faces until one of us ran out of health. Then I did it all over again until the dungeon was clear. But (another but) imagine my surprise when when I searched the dead bandit laying at my feet, brandishing a cool sword that I wanted to swing around, had no loot, NO LOOT! I can see the sword in his hand! I can see the armour he is wearing! Yet I seemingly do not have the ability to pry the sword from his cold dead hand or peel his armour like flaying an animal! No gold, no weapons or armour, not even random junk like a spoon! Every so often they would glow and you may get something but honestly it broke me and I’ve not played it since. In conclusion it is a bog standard multiplayer dungeon crawler dressed in the Elder Scrolls clothes. If that’s your bag then you’ll probably love it but for me it just wasn’t an ES game. Had it have been, then even playing as a loaner, I’d still be cutting around slashing the unworthy up and robbing disgusting pesents of Tamerial.

It is an awesome game, but so far it has spent more time downloading updates, than I have playing it... The initial update took over two days to download and completely killed my broadband. I logged in to play a couple of nights ago and was told to download another 800+mb update.. 90 minutes later I gave up and went to bed. They also give a totally useless option to play without using network features.. given that your characters and progress are stored on remote servers, the game can't be played and this option simply loops to the previous screen.

Great product came faster then expected

Being a fan of Skyrim and Morrowind I thought I would finally get around to trying this online version of the Elder Scrolls, the game arrived on Wednesday and although I knew it would most likely have to update itself to use some features (most games you buy do) I was dismayed to find that it is totally unplayable until it does update and shock, horror, gasp and go take a vacation, the update would take 99+ hours! So if you have a week to spare buy this game, go on holiday and when you get back you may just be able to play it

現在日本に住んでますが、英国に住んでいたときにつくった英国アカウントでトロフィーを集めてるのと ローカライズが我慢ならないのでいつも英アマゾンから欧州版を個人輸入してます。 でも英アマゾンから個人輸入するのとほぼ同じ値段でこちらで売られていて本当に助かりました。 ちなみに最新のアップデートのダウンロード４１GB, 光回線で４時間かかりました… 遊ぶのにPSN Plusには加入必須ですが、これは日本のアカウントでPS4を「いつも使うPS4」に認証してれば 日本アカウントで購入したPSN Plusで、同機内の英国アカウントでもマルチプレイが楽しめます。 こちらはDLC、購入特典なども含まれてるGold版、お得に買えてよかったです。
