## Questions & Answers

**Q: how do you use this?**
A: Mix with water. Pour, spread or cover a mould with a 1-2 cm layer Algernate leave to set only a minute then gentle peal off Mould.  Now you have a negative copy of the orginal item which you would fill with plaster of paris or a hard setting compound. Algernate is flexable and has some give to it so you can pull and remove larger items than a hard setting mould making compound. Algernate shrinks and disintegrates over time. But it is safe to put in mouth and make casts for teeth. For vampire fangs or perfect fitting false cums.

**Q: does this come with a certificate of safety?**
A: Not that I saw. We did use it without issue.

**Q: How would I do a cast of my hand? Mix the powder plunge my hand in and then is it easy to remove my hand?**
A: If you use a flexible plastic container like a cut in half pop bottle use the bottle to hold the mixture with room for the hand overflow cut away the bottle and spray some soapy water inside against the arm to easy it out. Also shaving the arn or using Petroleum jelly BP. To stop the Algernate sticking to you hair.

**Q: Can it be used for lead moulds ?**
A: Yes but alginate mould is a flexible rubbery solid but it wont last the more than a few days. Alginate is a non toxic mould medium used for teeth and facial moulds. The mould disintegrates and changes shape the longer from the mixing and setting stage so you need to make the mould from alginate which is flexible and then use reinforced plaster of paris or something that can take the heat from the hot melted lead
