The little green bit sticking out on the left is a hinge. You just grasp the clear plastic lightly and pull open **Q: How do you open this needle case, have tried everything and cannot get it open** A: Hold the see-through 'lid' each flat side between finger & thumb. Hold the coloured lower section same way with other hand. Pull upwards on the see-through 'lid' & diwnwards on the lower section, opposite side of the hinge. It may be quite stiff.
