how close it without a bloody finger, I had to have stitches at the ER trying to close it please will someone tell how to close it is even possible?

When you open it you will here a click,there is a spring that pops over too keep the blade from folding back in. Turn the knife over you will see the spring it will be over to the right holding the blade open. With your forefinger push the spring over too the left side so it clears the blade and fold the blade in. I have a couple of them for years and never had a problem, just remember if your right handed use your right hand forefinger too push the spring over and with your left hand push the blade in to fold once the knife starts to fold in you don’t have to hold the spring anymore. If your left handed reverse the process. Good luck.
