Too early to say how the LED unit is going to fare compared with alternatives (HPS/CFL etc) but I'm very pleased with how simple the kit was to put together and the heat that the LED puts out - just enough to keep the tent warm without risking it ever getting too hot in there. Fans supplied in the kit are both quite quiet - always wish they were completely silent but this isn't a perfect world, only aware of the fans when I turn everything off in the house (just about bedtime) but other than that they fade into the background.
