When the fireworks started he definitely was his usual self plodding round rather than getting scared and hiding. We did also make sure to have the curtains closed and the TV sound turned up a little more. I've only given it 4 stars though, and this is because the calming effect definitely didn't last in him once we took him outside for walks, not even enough for a quick walk. If a firework went off 1 minute after going out of the house, he stopped dead it his tracks and refused to walk further. I'd consider next year buying him a collar as well to see if that helps. Secondly, it didn't help when there was a thunder storm and lightening.
