We have a tortoise who needs his nails trimmed regularly and insists on wriggling throughout the entire process! Can this be used safely on reptiles? **Q: How many swabs can you use in a day?** A: My labrador had a severely cut paw through the lockdown and everytime he walked on it his paw would open the wound again so I used these regularly, also i cleaned the wound and then bandaged it everytime aswell, this was around 3 times a day. If you find the bleeding is quite severe and can't be stitched then another great thing to do is to put the bleeding wound in cornflour (if it's the paw) the vet told me this trick and often its done if the nail has been cut too short it's a fast way to stop bleeding but again depends on where the cut is. Another tip is to get boots for the paw for outdoors I bought them from amazon and they were great it meant my dog could go outside with the bandage on and then the boot and it stopped any debris getting into the wound but after taking it off it was cleaned with the swab and salt water everytime. Hope this helps you but they are good and its something I've always got to help with cuts. I would recommend them. **Q: Does this item have a use by date** A: Yes. We actually had some go off, change colour etc as we didn’t need it in its use by period (thankfully). It’s still worth having on hand as eventually we did nick the quick in our cats nails & the claw did keep on bleeding. We went to get this product but realised we hadn’t replaced the ones that had gone off. D’oh!
