## Description

Hailing from Chicago, Fall Out Boy - Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar) and Andy Hurley (drums) - are back with their sixth studio album ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’. It is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s fifth studio album ‘Save Rock and Roll’. The album includes the singles ‘Centuries’ and ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’, plus the track ‘Immortals’. The album contains 11 tracks, and the CD comes with a 12 page booklet in a soft pack.

Review: That difficult second post-hiatus album? Not even slightly. - So FOB are back with the follow up to their comeback album Save Rock and Roll. Its both less and more than that album. Less obviously experimental in terms of their sound, less angry, but crucially less conflicted and less divisive, and simultaneously more subtly experimental and more like themselves. Couple that with Wentz' lyrics being far superior to those of SRR, Patricks voice being back in the groove and the rest of the band sounding like 1 unit again and its quite possible the best FOB album ever. If there is still slightly less obvious humour in the lyrics than the pre-hiatus material the content is hugely more mature without losing that sense of fun that FOB have always possessed. The triumph of this album is that although there are 3-4 standout potential singles, you can make a case for 90% of the tracks being single contenders - the average standard is really that high. Add in the fact that they have gone fairly sample heavy and musically eclectic without it being intrusive to the FOB sound and this album is possibly their finest and most consistent ever straddling Pop and Rock like no-one else can. Recommended for die hards and newcomers alike - the only people that might be slightly put off are those who thought Save Rock and Roll was entirely representative of FOB. If that was their awkward teenager this is their assured, rightly arrogant twenty something.
Review: Great Album <3 - Great follow up album to 'Save rock and roll' which in my opinion is still the best FOB album but now only just. I have loved FOB for around 10 years and I know alot of people say they don't like the direction they have gone in but I personally love how they have evolved their sound. They are producing amazing anthems with a variety of styles. The best song on the album for me is Uma Thurman- I love the munsters theme tune mixed in there- genious!! I actually love all the songs apart from the albums namesake American Beauty which I'm not over keen on although weirdly its the one stuck in my head so it may grow on me. I'd 100% reccommend this to any fan, you won't be dissapointed. Great job FOB you've done it again, hope to see you on tour in October! X

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You won't be disappointed
*by M***D on 21 March 2015*

I find that there are three types of FOB fans: 1) The ones that prefer the old music 2) Ones that prefer the new music 3) The ones that like all of it. I find myself in category 3. I have enjoyed all of their albums and so this one was not a disappointment. There is a great mix of songs, Patrick's vocals are incredible and the music itself is spot on. I know a lot of people have said that they've gone a bit mainstream, and that this album is a little too much pop than rock, but I recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed!
