KontrolFreek FPS Freek Vortex for PlayStation 4 (PS4) Controller | Performance Thumbsticks | 1 High-Rise Convex, 1 Mid-Rise Concave | Orange

When I first bought these, I wasn't so sure about them actually helping you with your skills on FPS games but when they came to my doorstep, I instantly stuck them on my ps4 controller, and played some AW, and my accuracy instantly improved!!! I was on bigger streaks, I got one or two quad feeds! And last but not least, the grip and texture and design is amazing! They are probably the most comfortable kontrol freeks ever! So would I recommend these? HELL YEAH!!! If you take gaming seriously like I do you will love these! Especially for games like call of duty, killzone, destiny and Skylanders(JK). But seriously, what are you waiting for? Go buy a pair now!!! Lol.

This review is based on almost a years usage of the KontrolFreaks. Firstly, I'd fully recommend this to anyone looking to enhance their gameplay. The grips make you feel really immersed in the gameplay, more so than the standard controller grips. This also aids in extending the life of the controllers too as it has always been a problem for me that the grips rip easily and I find myself peeling what's left off. Since putting the KontrolFreaks on I've not had this issue at all. Whether you're looking for a more immersive responsive feel or to extend the life of your controllers then I fully recommend this product. I should finally state that I used these mainly to play two games; The Division and Call of Duty MWR. I felt an immediate improvement in aim when using the KontrolFreaks oppose to the standard grips.

These thumb grips address 2 rather annoying flaws with the Dualshock 4 controller: the first is the issue of the original rubber grips on the analogue sticks becoming worn and uncomfortable and the second is the stubby nature of the sticks. As for gameplay performance, the KontrolFreeks lend themselves well to First Person Shooters (Call of Duty, Battlefield). I wouldn't say they've turned me into an overnight pro but I get a lot less of the 'how-on-earth-did-I-miss-that' moments. This is because the right stick is slightly taller and allows for more movement and control. Durability is definitely not an issue here as I have spent hours using them and there is not even a hint of wear. Compared to cheaper alternatives such as the KELUX thumb grips, these are far superior as the KELUX drag against the controller when turning the stick which hinders movement and is very uncomfortable. On the other hand, the KontrolFreeks clip on to the analogue stick with small but sturdy plastic hooks. The only reason there is a star missing in my rating is because, despite the high quality of the KontrolFreeks, they are ultimately two small pieces of rubber on plastic and it is hard to justify spending £13 on them (in my case), especially considering the already hefty price of the Dualshock 4 controller itself. In summary, I would definitely recommend this product to keen fans of First Person Shooters and fast paced action games, however, considering the price, not so much for those who are likely to only play these games a few hours a week.

Bought for my son he said they are great!

If you have a PS4 and play FPS games then you need these thumb grips as they will greatly improve your game, and give gaming a lot more comfortable feel for your thumbs. They will take a bit of getting used to at start but once you are used to it, you wont even know they are there until you see your score at the end of the game and you will realize to your self that you have bought the best item you will probably ever use for under £15 and you will certainly not regret buying this item. You will soon want to get thumb grips for all of your console controllers. Would recommend for any and every FPS gamer.

Being in my late 40s and having always played PC games, my other half Bought me a PS4 Pro for my last Birthday, I really struggled on FPS , One game I tried to play and gave up on was Tom Clancy The Division, I was looking at some more expensive solutions like a Keyboard and Mouse Controller for the PS4 but these all were more than I wanted to pay, I thought I'd try these things. Seen some Youtube Videos and thought I'd give them a punt. Glad I did, Aiming now feels a lot smoother and more precise. Not long had them and So far impressed.

As a devoted FPS gamer, these thumb grips are a game-changer. They took a bit to get used to, but the comfort and improved gameplay are unbeatable. Forget they're there until you see your scores.they're under £15 and the best purchase ever. It's not just about gameplay improvement; it also extends the life of the controller. Say goodbye to easily worn standard grips. Perfect for games like The Division and Call of Duty, the aim improvement is noticeable.Highly recommended for any FPS enthusiast.

Not bad but the rubber smoothes out extremely quick so fave of thumbs can slide. I don't think I'd recommend this if you fit in 12 hrs of game play each week. The heightened right thumb is good though especially for fps

Bought these for my son. He has used a variety of different controller mods and the KontrolFreek brand has always been the best brand available. The longer extension on the sticks allows for better aiming. The texture on the top part of the stick increases grip. The sticks snap on easily and are very stable once attached. The variety of colors is fantastic and allow for a lot of customization.
