Is it straightforward to read the results or is medical expertise required please?** A: These would be unlikely to catch pre-diabetes. Urine strips usually catch glucose when it reaches close to 10, which you'd probably be full blown diabetic by then. I'd suggest getting a glucose monitor. Many come with 10 strips. And it would be far more accurate at catching pre-diabetes or borderline readings. Hope this helps. **Q: Will this show up a UTI?** A: Yes it will. I read reviews of this brands other items that claimed if you check with normal water, it will show as acidic. This is true, I tried. I put this under a tap along with another brand. The other brand showed neutral, while this showed acidic. However when my other strips have shown my urine to be neutral or alkaline, then checked with these, these matched. So my guess is these only work in urine. I only took away 1 star because a few times there was a green speck on the blood pad which concerned me. Other brand strips which are very sensitive showed negative. Very good product.
