Review: Excellent - I have Dell Inspiron and the internal Wifi was problematic (Dell replaced Wifi card and updated drivers), Wifi would completely disappear when transferring data. I decided to try the Bros Trend AC3 USB Wifi Antenna system . Installation was straight forward, just remember to disable the existing Wifi adapter first ! Bros Trend supplied a disk containing the installer and drivers. After install a reboot and hey presto the new device was up and running and attempting a connection to my 5G network. After entering my network login information and I was up and running. A check on signal strengths and a tweak of the Ariel position/rotation to optimise the signal and I was getting 100% signal strength and +90% quality. This boosted my downloads to about 140Mbps, almost double that of the internal Wifi adaptor. The system has been running for over 2 weeks now. Wifi is firm it does not stop or disappear, even under stress with simultaneous data uploads and downloads. The only slight niggle I have is with the Realtek WLAN Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter program. This is the front end program that allows you to change settings and monitor signal strengths and data. It is a little temperamental on starting up the laptop, but it does not affect the operation of the Wifi. I dont really need it and so have deleted the program - this does not affect the operation of the Bros Trend Wifi device. If I do need to run it then it is easily installable again, without affecting the Bros Trend device. So overall I'm very satisfied with this device. 9.9/10

**Q: is there a latest driver?**
A: Hello. Thanks for reaching out for BrosTrend usb wifi dongle. We are resolving the problem for you now.
The driver is available on our official website and please install it by following these steps:
1. Please download the latest driver from our official website, save it on your computer's Drive D/E/F, do NOT save it on Drive C.
Driver for BrosTrend AC3: https://trendtechcn.com/Product.aspx?ProductId=325&TypeId=2
2. Extract the driver file (right click the compressed file, and then select EXTRACT ALL to extract the driver file). You may need to select the Destination of the extracted driver folder. Then an EXTRACTED driver folder will be created.
3. Click the Setup application which is located in the extracted driver folder and then RESTART your PC after the installation is finished.
4. Please plug it into the USB port of your PC via its attached cradle. Please do NOT plug the wifi adapter via any USB hubs or any extension cables.

Note:
1. Please turn off your firewall or any anti-virus software before you install the driver.
2. Please disable your built-in wifi card before you use BrosTrend wifi adapter.
3. If BrosTrend wifi adapter works, the blue LED light should turn on and it should be detected as REALTEK 8812BU USB Wireless Lan. You may use the wifi management tool integrated on Windows to manage your wifi network.

**Q: This doesn't work through the cradle with extension cable but does work when i directly plug it into a usb port. can any help?**
A: That is weird, should work with a cradle/extension included. Only thing I can think of make sure it's plugged into a USB 3.0 socket. If problem persists contact seller and try a replacement maybe youve got a defective extension.

**Q: Will this connect my windows 7 pc to my virgin hub 20 ft away**
A: I have used it for exactly the same thing, my hub is on the ground floor and my windows 7 pc is in the loft, and it works fine. D.J.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good speed on 5GHz band if device properties setup correctly.

Purchased to upgrade from the 802.11a/b/g on board wifi in my 2015 Windows tablet, and also tested on my 2017 Windows gaming laptop. Have been using for a week or two. The driver install was straight forward although it appeared to crash on my tablet at the point where a reboot was required and no Realtek USB Wireless LAN Utility was installed (handy but not required if you know your way around network connections properties). The install on my 2017 Windows gaming laptop completed cleanly and after reboot the utility was available whenever the wifi dongle is attached. The utility does show that the wifi signal strength and link quality varies during use, but this is expected working upstairs from my router in a 155year old stone house. Still getting 585Mbps on the 5GHz channel but the device properties must be set and the external antenae in place to achieve the maximum speed. To configure the dongle on my systems I set the Properties \ Configure \ Advanced \ Wireless Mode setting to "iEEE802.11ac". This seems to default to "Auto" on dongle connect which does not achieve the highest speeds possible in my environment. The only criticism I have at the moment is that the base could use a bit more weight and/or diameter to keep it from falling over so easily.
