This baby is built like a battleship and I have no doubt will last for a very long time to come. Typical USA build quality and a simple design that works. Used for the first time today and produced 40 fabulous 3/4" thick burgers in no time at all, all of which stayed tightly packed on the Grill and the whole party loved them. Brought the press out to show my guests and was the talking point of the night. I'm sure a few of my guests will be getting one of these in the coming weeks!Observations: 1. The press needed a really good wash when it arrived - there seemed to be lots of loose flashing/non-stick coating flakes in the plastic bag. 2. Use wax discs on the base AND the top, which eliminates messy clean up, but it breaks down for cleaning and reassembles quickly and easily.None of the above detract from what a truly fabulous product this is.
