The particular slant of Merkur 37C's bar, makes it extremely sharp and ideal for tough beards. By highest constructive value, Merkur 37C is a 2 pieces razor; it's need unscrew the pawl present on the bottom of the handle, lift the head and insert the blade. It's sold with a Merkur Super razor blade included in the package. Length: 82 mm- handle diameter: 12 mm- weight: 74 gr MERKUR-DOVO. Merkur was born in Solingen, Germany in 1896. The factory name owes its name to the messenger of the gods Hermes Romans. Emil Hermes (not surprisingly) is also the name of company's founder. The first razors constructed by Merkur already presented a safety comb in which was fixed a removable wedge-shaped blade that had to be sharpened regularly. During '900 Merkur patented several blades models and all their safety razors are marked with "Made in Solingen" and "Germany". Back to 5 star for this wonderful Slant Razor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely smooth fizzog. *by S***K on 8 July 2017* This is the best razor I've used, I've been DE shaving for the past 5 years and tried various DE razors but I always had trouble areas on my neck, no matter which way I shaved or what blade I used, so after looking through the reviews (bad & good) on the slant, I decided to purchase it, I was a little worried about using it the first time with the so called bad reputation it's got. I had a good 3 days growth and after lathering up, this was the moment of truth, was it a bloodbath? No, I had the cleanest shave since DE shaving, not one nick or scrape, my neck and fizzog was smooth. I didn't find the 37c too aggressive but many people might so if you are a beginner, make sure you use a good shaving cream and take your time, as another person said don't shave with it if your in a rush, I like shaving at night to unwind after a hard days work and the wife and kids are in bed, also let the weight of the razor do the work, no need to apply anymore pressure. I would recommend the merkur 37c to anyone, beginners or long time users.
