The Noble Collection Harry Potter Remote Control Wand

Love it. So easy to set up. Obviously it’ll be a novelty and not your every day remote but still great for Harry Potter nights. Imagine controlling the marathon via wand?! Awesome

Perfect present for my boyfriend. We have lots of fun with it! It's a bit tricky to programme first as it's super sensitive but it's not impossible, you just need to be gentle. Otherwise once it's done it's a perfect "toy" for your "grown up".

Not perfect, not as many modes as the doctor who sonic screwdriver I recently purchased for my Dad which was annoying. But it was enough to turn on my TV and Soundbar and get to the right channel for Sky or my PS4 and control the volume. The rotate functions are more or less useless as when you turn it back to its resting position it registers a turn the other way. However once I got used to it I enjoyed using it and it did come in handy. Battery life was also pretty good and replacing batteries rather than charging means it is always available.

I purchased one of these as a Christmas gift for someone. Initial joy/happiness was replaced with frustration, as noone could get it working. I have no doubt that it does indeed work, as it is seemingly very well made.. however the set-up instructions leave something to be desired. To name a few.. the recipient tried.. I tried (I have several IT and technical qualifications) someone that works at Harry Potter world tried.. noone could understand the instructions or made it work.. There's a 'testing' part to test the wand movements.. that went fine (after an hour or two) and the connectivity section was impossible, with useless instructions. Now, sadly the very expensive wand is just collecting dust on a shelf, as a lump of plastic that glows if you press the button on it.. it controls nothing, and the initially happy recipient hasn't really spoken to me since. (Over a month later) 3* probably should be much lower, but as mentioned, the item itself seems good quality, it's just the poor instructions that let it down.

This product is highly overpriced and does not do what is says it will do. Very disappointed child

Bought as a Christmas present for a massive Harry Potter fan. She absolutely loves it! Quick and easy to set up and just great fun to use. Just remember that it does not come with batteries included.

Fantastic idea and good novelty, however very difficult to programme and doesnt seem to remember settings.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Dad, he loves gadgets of any kind and had been eyeing this up for a while. The box it comes in is simple but protects the wand, the instructions are easy to follow. After a few attempts he got it working brilliantly and loves it!

No es un juguete infantil como tal, sino más bien un artículo para fans: cumple muy bien si lo que buscas es una varita especial y diferente. El embalaje está cuidado y es perfecto para regalar. Le quito una estrella porque la funcionalidad es limitada y depende mucho de la compatibilidad, pero como pieza de merchandising, es una compra muy recomendable.

First off, I get that at first, it may seem complicated to set this wand up, but once you figure out how to get it into "program mode" everything else is a breeze. You MUST have a remote/device that uses IR (infrared technology). This means that any device that has a remote, in order for the buttons to do whatever you want (volume up, change scene, etc) you would have to make sure to point the device's remote, somewhat in the direction of the device. If you don't have to point the remote to the device, like with the Amazon Firestick....that device uses RF (radio frequency). In short, this will not work with a Firestick which is what I kinda wanted it for (it was a gift to my girlfriend). Luckily!!!!.....we also have ROKU. This definitely uses IR and let me tell you that this wand does exactly what it is supposed to. It has 9 movements to program (turn left, turn right, push forward, pull back, swipe up, swipe down, swipe left, swipe right, and a big swish). We setup all 9 and we can navigate magically through ROKU now!!! We also set it up to raise and lower the volume of our sound bar. Seriously, the BEST GIFT for Harry Potter fans. I just can't with this and my girlfriend is in awe with it. It's sooooo cool!!!! I will say it was a little confusing at first but again, if you settle your nerves and truly focus on what/how you are supposed to set it up, it'll be 1000000% worth it! Be patient and be rewarded with having the coolest remote in town!
