Review: Strong, well designed, reliable and great value. - Instead of buying the 'brand' name version of this mounts, I purchased these and am very happy. Currently on a road trip through Mexico, the extra fuel tank has been helpful and these mounts have worked perfectly with multiple uses - as they are advertised. They are strong, have a nice locking mechanism and are very self-explanatory. I am only using one of the mounts currently, but it's nice to have the option to add a second fuel or water tank the outside of my van, if needed. A couple of notes on the installation: the base of the mount has multiple holes and comes with 4 screws / washers allowing for multiple attachment configurations. In my situation, I could only fit 3 of the bolts and given the size of the holes I was mounting to (the MOLLE panel to which this is mounted on the back of my van has slight larger holes), I needed to get larger washers (something to keep in mind). The larger washers kept the bolt from sliding through the mounting holes and provided a better attachment for the device. Despite only using 3 bolts and washers (as shown in the video), the fuel container is very secure. Obviously, if I had room to use 4 bolts, I would have. I highly recommend these mounts as alternatives to the more expensive brand name versions. I assumed they'd be just as good and was pleasantly surprised.
