We really didn't want to use formula but breast feeding was extremely painful (my partner said that labour was easier and less painful) and caused a lot of tears every time she was feeding. She was bleeding from nipples and eventually one nipple got clogged up and she wasn't able to extract milk but milk was building up. We clean them and sterilise them after each feed so we have ordered two more packages to do the cleaning just twice a day. You get two per pack and it's important to get correct nipple size. They can be microwave sterilised or boiled. They also come with storage box so you can take them with you. The shield nipple sits longer than your actual nipple to give room for your nipple to be sucked. **Q: Are the holes in the end the milk come out different sizes depending on if you get S/M/L?** A: No, the size is how it fits on your nipple. The hospital only give out large ones as if it's to tight it will effect milk production. **Q: Can they be sterilised in microwave steriliser** A: Yes they can :) but the instructions say to only sterilise them once a day and then just wash them in warm soapy water after each use. I made the mistake with my first pair of sterilising them every time I used them and they became very slack so I had to purchase more. **Q: Can the yellow storage box be sterilised in a steriliser too? I'm thinking of using this to transport pacifiers too.** A: Yes I sterilised it with Milton tablets too to take the shields out with me when out and about. The box isn’t really deep so not sure you would fit a pacifier in it without squashing it slightly.
