Car is due for timing chain kit by 75k and tappets were noisy. Done around 50 miles or so and the tappets have reduced considerably but not completely. Again, used in a well known tappy ish engine so only time will tell if it gets quiet or not haha. Also, chain noise has drastically gone quiet then before! Will be using again when the time comes for an oil chain along with the Ceretec stuff from Liqui moly Review: An excellent oil additive product for deposit removal - This oil treatment additive isn't snake oil, it actually worked. My timing chain and possibly oil pump drive chain were making noise. This product has within 20 miles of driving largely left them virtually silent. The engine hasn't had the best servicing by the previous owners, and I believe there was probably sludge in the tensioners and possibly valve drive gear. This product has made a huge difference. Use it in my Jag xf. **Q: Will this stop my tappet noise have put other treatment in and done nothing is it ok to put this in aswell** A: It quietened mine a touch but it wasnt that noisy to start with **Q: How do you use it** A: Empty the whole can in to the engine via the oil filler.
