However, it is really good. Well made and the roller is nicely smooth. The roller has a metal spindle inside with the handles attached at either end. It makes it really easy to roll out pastry. I make my own bread, not using a bread maker, and roll out and stretch the dough which is a lot easier, and just as effective, as kneading it. This rolling pin does a great job, just holding the handles and rolling it back and forth, so your hands don't have to move at all. With the handles it is 41-42 cm long which means it should just fit in most kitchen drawers, but you may want to check this. Also because part of the length is taken up with the handles it means the roller itself is 20.5 cm long, which is a good bit shorter than non rotating rolling pins. I don't find this a problem but perhaps bear this in mind if you regularly intend to roll out big sheets of pastry. Of course you can pay more for a rotating rolling pin with a wider roller but then it's unlikely to fit in your kitchen drawer. I've used it to roll out bread dough, where you have to press down pretty firmly, and it's easily strong enough for this. A good product and remarkably inexpensive.
