As for the sound quality, this speaker sounds great. Mine is installed in a suspended ceiling and the space behind really gives me a nice amount of base. I played around with the equalisation a bit and now have a nice balance of base vs the mid and high range sounds. I think this speaker could make a lot of noise but I don't need that in my small space. All in all I think it's a good buy for the price and it looks well made and built to last. I paired two of these 8 ohm speakers with a CableFinder - 30W Wireless Bluetooth Dual Stereo, 4 Output Amp Amplifier. One speaker in my bathroom and the other in the en-suite/shower room (each fully tiled which does add some reverb). I chose them based on reviews, price and the fact that each speaker takes left and right channels. I would buy again for this type of installation. But each speaker has 4 terminals so you can connect the right & left speaker outputs from an amplifier to get stereo sound out of one speaker. You can buy 2 speakers & connect to just 2 terminals on each one giving a much better stereo effect even in a bathroom which is where I'm using mine. **Q: Can these be used in a bathroom where steam is present?** A: Hi used mine for about 5 years in bathroom with no performance issues, I use with Chromecast audio. the plastic is starting to discolour though so will definitely buy another as excellent value for money. **Q: do they have to be wired up to the stereo then put in the celling ? I don't get how they wok without wires everywhere????** A: Yes these do need to be wired into the stereo. Generally speaking most people installing speakers such as these will cut the appropriate hole in their ceiling, then run the speaker-wire through the ceiling, and down the wall to come out where their stereo equipment is. Then, after hooking up your speaker to the speaker-wire, install/mount it into the ceiling. **Q: What’s the nack for getting the grille back on please? It took me 3mins to drill the cutout 5secs to wire & now at 45mins trying to get it back in!!!** A: Raise it up so it's just inside on the whole perimeter. Then push slowly on four points at once (12,3,6 and 9 o'clock). Then as it moves in, push at 10.30, 1.30, 4.30, 7.30. I can't speak for surround sound installations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very impressive for the price great speaker! *by P***D on 1 April 2019* Was originally looking at a dual voice coil q acoustics speaker at Β£130 but thought to give this a try not expecting much, but to my surprise the speaker does sound very very good. The speaker is being used in my bathroom which is about 3x2m. I'm powering the speaker from a small TPA 3116 amplifier board and cheap 7band parametric eq. Using a Google audio cast for source, fantastic! As I can gain access to the rear of the speaker from loft I've built an acoustic box over it to help with sound. Very happy with the sound, but don't expect booming bass, but over all sound is impressive with enough bass to satisfy most.
