These are by far my favourite of the two.They can really transform your coloured pencil art, especially when you want to create a smooth effect like skin. The way that the blender works is by picking up some of the pigment on the page and moving it around. It then fills the tooth of the paper more and smooths out any pencil streaks. You do still need to do your own blending with just the pencils first but then applying these smooths everything out and gives an excellent blend. You can easily go back over the top with more colour too which is useful as the blender will lighten the colour slightly in the darker areas. I usually re do the deepest shadows after blending. If you want to leave the lightest area of your blending white it takes a little practice to do this as the blender picks up the pigment and moves it a little so it is easy to cover the white area with colour. A bit of practice (and cleaning the blender regularly on scrap paper) helps to stop this from happening however. The main thing which makes me prefer these pencils over the others I have is that they do not leave the work too shiny.
