SANDISK Cruzer Blade 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

The SanDisk Cruzer Blade 64GB USB Flash Drive is excellent value for money. I bought this to send a large number of photos to a friend. This flash drive is compatible with all mainstream systems (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OSX 10.6+). The item is compact at only 4cm long which means it's easily carried. There is a small hole in the top of the stick for attaching to a key ring. This is a USB 2.0 device and will work perfectly fine with both USB 2.0+ and USB 3.0+ ports. This flash drive is supplied with complimentary SecureAccess software which will enable you to encrypt and password protect critical files. The software works with Windows and Mac systems (you need to download the Mac version from SanDisk's website - full instructions are provided in a PDF document installed on the flash drive). Note that you do not need to use this security software if you don't want to secure your files. However, this is a useful feature if you store sensitive information on the drive and you choose to carry the stick around on your keyring! This particular model is currently available in storage sizes from 4GB to 128GB. I bought the 64GB version which is more than ample for my needs. The manufacturers blurb on this page and other sites provide useful reference tables to help you decide how much memory you need.In a simple test I transferred 650 photos from an Apple Macbook to this SanDisk flash drive. The total size of the transferred files was 2.17GB. The files transferred at a rate of 3.8 MB/Sec and completed in just over 9 minutes. Reading the files back from the flash drive was around 4 times quicker than write speed. There are more expensive flash drives out there. If you need a drive that's indestructible, extremely fast or has blinking lights to tell you that it's busy then this isn't the drive for you. For everyone else I highly recommend this item.

best flash drive! bought to store photos from my camera and it holds and incredible amount of photos (13k photos worth around 30gb).definitely the best flash drive i’ve bought. can use it in an adapter that transfers them directly to my phone via the files app!!

* PhysicalThis 64Gb thumb drive is small physically, but it fits into standard USB 2.0 connections very easily. It's shaped into a gentle shape of your thumb. If you need to know, when you look into the port on your computer, the USB 2.0 ports have a white colour to make the user aware of the difference when compared with blue for later USB 3.0 ports* PerformanceIt's of a capacity that would encourage the much faster USB 3.0 connectivity to be more attractive. The USB 3.0 is supposed to be ten times faster uploading and downloading files than the earlier USB 2.0 ports. But in reality is around 4 or 5 times more rapid than for USB 2.0. So if you're using this capacity of flash drives on a regular basis, have USB 3.0 hardware, and are throwing around very big file sizes on your system, I would consider upgrading to USB 3.0 thumb drives.* Main usageI have bought this thumb drive to serve as a 'Recovery Drive' for Windows 10. The current requirement to create a recovery drive is it's at least USB 2.0 and has around 32Gb free capacity. So I overestimated the capacity requirement - just in case - and bought this 64Gb. The drive is made to have this 64GB drive but creating this recovery drive permanently reduced its capacity to 32GB. This is to make it bootable as required. When I did the first recovery drive for Windows 8.0, I thought the copy of the whole of drive C: would be placed on a thumb drive, so i bought a 128Gb pen drive. This was actually permanently reduced to 32 Gig too, so even when i formatted this USB 2.0 drive, the 128 Gig was from then still permanently reduced to 32 Gig!* SummaryThis hardware has a very high capacity and almost enough to be thrown away cost. If you have USB 3.0 and can use this size regularly, this makes sense to use this standard. But if you're willing to wait for files to upload and download, you can save yourself the cost and use these USB 2.0 thumb drives. My main point is it's a lot cheaper to buy through Amazon than buying through supermarkets as when you compare cost to capacity it's Amazon that is attractive!

The SanDisk 128GB Cruzer Blade USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a solid choice for anyone looking for a simple, portable storage solution. The compact design makes it easy to carry on a keychain or in a laptop bag, and the 128GB capacity is plenty for documents, photos, and even some videos.Transfer speeds are decent for USB 2.0, though don’t expect lightning-fast performance compared to USB 3.0 drives. It’s very reliable for everyday use, and I haven’t experienced any connectivity or recognition issues. My only small complaint is that the plastic casing feels a little flimsy compared to other drives I’ve used, so I handle it carefully. Overall, it’s a dependable, budget-friendly flash drive that does exactly what it promises.

Not used yet but it's a good backup when required, good make so I can't see any problem.

very pleased just what i wanted

The SanDisk Cruzer Blade 128GB USB is a good budget storage device. It is easy to use, small, and reliable for saving documents, photos, and basic files. However, the transfer speed is slow because it uses USB 2.0, so it is not suitable for large files or heavy use. Overall, it is good for simple everyday storage but not for fast performance needs.”

Good cheap back up for files incase the cloud goes down

なんの問題もなく使えました。

Works does what it needs to

The quality-to-price ratio is one of the strongest features of this product. SanDisk is a well-known brand for storage solutions, and this product lives up to its reputation. Its compact size makes it easy to carry around, while the fast and reliable connectivity makes it convenient for everyday use. Overall, it delivers solid performance and good value for the money. I would definitely recommend it!
