The cargo pouch compact features foam on both sides to protect the switch from a reasonable fall of about 2-5 feet which is more than enough protect if it where to slip out of your hands. It also features enough protection to just chuck into a larger bag. This will not fit the switch or switch OLED with the split pad pro. The Hori cargo pouch is more suited for that. While this case could fit a switch lite it would be really bulky. The case has a smooth feel to it as well. Overall highly recommended if you want to use your switch with the new split pad compact.
