Great signal, easy to set up and I think worth my money

Amazing product

I've been wanting to buy this for a while but held off as my internet provider didn't offer any good deals on their fastest speed. Then finally it happened, Xfinity offered me an amazing deal and I immediately jump to Amazon and bought this. I was able to install this myself through the Xfinity app which was amazing because sometimes their customer service can be headache driven. Now, this modem really showed that my router was weak and could not handle the speed. I bought the Google nest pro to find out that it's capped at 900mbps. No matter what I did, it would not go any higher than that. I figured, since I just spent a lot of money on the modem, I might as well get a more powerful router and I decided to go with Orbi AX6000 and now I'm getting the speed I wanted but really don't need 😂.

The headline is the deal, 'Bought Renewed with NO REGREATS!!' This was an easy upgrade from my Netgear 1100. It totally captures the full speed of my Comcast 1.2GB service, and it has run without a hitch. That is what you hope for in a renewed product! The price...a wonderful boost to the purchase experience! Be sure to get a factory renewed, then take the plunge. So, it still works brilliantly, but it is NOT A Factory authorized refurb!!! The seller was Verdi, NOT Netgear as advertised in the Amazon ad!?!! When a minor log entry reoccurrence surfaced, I contacted Netgear. The log entry I'd noted did not indicate any modem problem. However, they noted that Verdi is NOT an authorized reseller or refurb center! Amazon should have caught this!! Now it seems that I am on my own. I'll update with whatever course Amazon suggests... ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Verdi and Amazon are working the confusing ad content out. Verdi did refund $15 and is honoring the 90 day warranty. Still, I'd get the factory refurb for sure!

Product was faulty straight out of the box. Wifi signal would randomly drop and sometimes the signal would stay be there was no internet available. The unit also would reboot itself randomly atleast once an hour.

Amazon offered me a deal on this refurbished modem. Inside the box were instructions to go to xfinity.com/activate to get it working. On the Xfinity website I was directed to install their app, which I did on my phone. After logging in I scrolled down to the 'Got new equipment to set up?', selected 'activate now,' and entered the CM MAC address of my new modem. Then I hooked it up to an AC power outlet & the cable. There's no power switch, it's just on if it's plugged in. The app then told me to wait about 11 minutes, but it didn't take Xfinity quite that long to find it. The the app said to wait about 5 minutes for activation. That 2nd step completed within the 5 minutes stated. Then I hooked my wireless router (an eero Pro 6E) to it and within 3-4 minutes the router's light turned white and the internet was working perfectly! One thing to consider..... if you don't have a decent cell signal in your home I don't know if this procedure will work because when you disconnect your old modem you will not be able to use wifi calling on your phone and your phone has to be connected to a data channel to complete the modem's setup. I don't understand the other reviews here that had so many problems with activation. For me, activation was super easy and the connection has been completely without any interruptions so far.

I was honestly worried about buying a renewed modem but it was packaged very well with all the cables and booklets that you need and it looked almost brand new. Most importantly i was able to get it connected to my ISP with no issues. Just make sure you reset the modem first once you turn it on to be safe. Then proceed with activation.

I upgraded to this unit after Comcast-Xfinity nearly doubled my speed for FREE due to a System Infrastructure Upgrade. And it is flawless - and FAST. The unit it replaced would fail and reboot every few minutes either from overheating or buffer overrun, no problem with this new unit !!!
