Continuing from her bestseller The Hiding Place, Corrie Ten Boom’s inspirational life story proves that miracles do happen. In 1940, Corrie ten Boom was living with her father and sister above their watch shop in Haarlem when their country was invaded. Armed with the gift of their faith and their belief in doing what was right, this devoutly Christian family provided sanctuary for persecuted Jews. Before long, the Nazis captured Corrie and her family and sent them to a concentration camp, where Corrie lost both her sister and father. But remarkably, throughout this turbulent time, from her near-destitute days in postwar New York to her heart-stopping adventures in Africa, Corrie sustained the faith in God that helped her become one of the most beloved evangelists of her time. “Although the threads of my life have often seemed knotted, I know, by faith, that on the other side of the embroidery there is a crown. As I have walked the world—a tramp for the Lord—I have learned a few lessons in God’s great classroom.” Review: Very good book! - Absolutely fantastic book. I have the series and would buy them all again! Review: Excellent Book! Highly recommended, Must read for serious Christians - This was one of the best books I have ever read with one other being THE HIDING PLACE. TFTL picks up where the Hiding Place left off. After thinking on this book for a while now I really believe she was an Apostle, just like the early disciples only she did not start any churches but not all do. She was about 53 (guessing) when she got out of prison and she served the Lord fervently up till she was 91, she was just an amazing christian woman with stunning testimony. I was very impressed and thankful for this book, it is life changing because it is pure testimony, no theology. Corrie is very honest and transparent, she shares everything, even her failures so we can benefit.

Life changing.
I bought this book because I grew up hearing stories of Corrie ten Boom from my mother and her friends, and I wondered what all the fuss was about. Well now I know. I couldn't possibly describe the experience of reading this book, and what it did for me, except to say that it was so much more than just a good read. I would say that it changed my life. This book showed me that walking side-by-side with the Lord wasn't just for people in Bible times--it is meant for us today. Corrie wasn't perfect. This book isn't about being perfect. And it isn't even about giving all you can give to God. On the contrary, it's about taking all you can take. Her language is so simple, yet her message incredibly profound: there is an endless resource available to each and every one of us, and that resource is Jesus Christ. Whether you're going through the most difficult time of you life, or you simply want to be inspired--Tramp for the Lord is the book for you. I've read many of Corrie's books since this one, but "Tramp" is still my favorite. I own three copies, so I always have two to lend. Now I'm the one telling people "Corrie stories" the way my mother used to. They are stories the next generation needs to hear.

Corrie shares her testimony in Christ to touch many lives
This is a beautiful collection of first-hand accounts of God's love and how He renews and restores. How Corrie followed the Lord as He led, fully surrendered to Him, and He used her to do His work. What the enemy meant for evil, the Lord used for good; using Corrie to touch many lives in profound and miraculous ways for His Glory. ♡ "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of theLord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified." Isaiah 61:1-3

A true foot soldier for the Lord
This book is a sequel to "The Hiding Place" a biography about Corrie Ten Boom's experience during World War II, arrested and sent to a German concentration camp for hiding Jews. Corrie surrenders to God's Will for her life to take the Gospel and her story to the entire world. Because of her humbleness, she is able to connect to people from all walks of life, from royalty to prisoners. She was especially able to connect with prisoners who were hopeless because of her own experience of being locked up. It was easy for her to minister to the victims of WWII, but Corrie resisted going back to Germany, the land that she dreaded. But she obeys and goes to Germany where she meets one of her former prison guards, one of the cruelest, walking up to her after a meeting. A chill grips her heart and bitterness wells up when he asks for her forgiveness. Leaning on the power of the Holy Spirit, she was able to forgive her enemy and found God's love overflowing. Each chapter is a story and devotional about a situation Corrie encounters. My favorite one is, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go, Dear Lord... but Not Up Ten Flights of Stairs."

The quality of the book print was very poor
Purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend to read it. The book itself and the topic was very good and interesting. But the quality of the paper and print of the book was not very good and the print was not crisp. I typically read a book again a couple times, but if the print is like this I don't really want to read it. I would attach a picture but I already got rid of the book. I would not buy from this publisher again.

Read this even if you never read anything else!
Here Corrie tells us about the wonderfully varied experiences she had travelling the world announcing the good news that Jesus Christ proclaimed and so many witnessed. The book is down to earth, touching, humorous and inspirationally honest. Corrie has her struggles with holiness and forgiveness just like the rest of us, though her honesty and daily prayers help her overcome her obstacles. She is a modern day saint. This is a joy to read and should be read by people religious and atheist alike. This book is a master class in life's lessons.

Powerful witness to the Lord.
After reading the Hiding Place I wanted to know how the Lord Jesus used Corrie to fulfil the purpose for which he had created her. This book is full of anecdotes of the same - each one providing a nourishment of faith to me. I believe God has a purpose for each one of us and my goal is to live the rest of my life, to fulfil that purpose.

Tramp for the Lord
