Best Vent-Based Phone Holder Available
I first got a normal sized Kenu Airframe around 2015 when I worked at a large electronics retailer. Having worked there, I tested a vast range of phone holders of all different types - Vent mounts, dash mounts, cupholder mounts, windshield mounts, mounts with magnetic cards - Just about anything you can think of, I tried. Every mount I tried suffered from a myriad of issues, whether it was shaky arm issues, unreliable adhesives, or weak vent/phone clips, there was always something going wrong. That is, until I got my Kenu. The Kenu's strong vent clips are the only clips that truly stay in place without fail. On top of that, the mechanism used to secure the phone is rock-solid, though it does take a bit of time to learn the technique for getting your phone in & out with one hand. Once you get that down, it's incredibly easy to use. A few years ago I upgraded my phone to one with a larger screen. To my dismay, my phone no longer fit in my Kenu, so I passed it along to my partner for her to use. Needless to say, I was ECSTATIC when I saw that there was an XL version (Airframe Pro). Why I didn't look earlier still baffles me, as it was a product I loved and missed dearly, but oh well. The Airframe Pro is just as perfect as the normal Airframe, with what seems to be an even better mechanism to hang on to my vents. The mechanism used to secure the phone appears to be the same as the one from almost a decade ago - I'm very glad they didn't fix something that wasn't broken! After almost a full decade of use, the only issue I had with my original Airframe is that the rotation mechanism has worn out, but all the clips still hold strong and it's not a huge problem. I don't anticipate that the Airframe Pro will suffer from the same issue since the design of the vent clip has been updated. It also fits my S22 Ultra perfectly, even with the LifeProof case that I have on it. All in all, I'm very happy with this product, and cannot recommend it enough. To be clear - This review is not sponsored in any way, shape, or form. This is simply one of the very few products that does exactly what it needs to, and does it perfectly. Thank you, Kenu!

Great holder...would buy again
UPDATE (3 stars to 5 stars): The company sent me a new phone holder and it’s been going strong since I received it. No problems and my phone doesn’t more or drop once it’s in the holder. UPDATE (1 Star to 3 stars): Kenu contacted me. The company said there was a defect with some of their earlier models and offered to send a replacement. Will update my review when the mount is received. Original review: Last year my family bought the Kenu phone holder at the mall and they swear by it. So when I needed a new phone holder I decided to get this one from amazon because it saved me a trip to the mall. This worked great and I really liked the design and functionality, but it broke in less then 3 months. Highly disappointed that this broke so quickly and the return window has passed.

Solid vent mount, but too shallow for recessed air vents
I prefer a cell phone holder that clips unobtrusively to a vent (as opposed to mounting to the dash or windshield) and is small enough for travel if need be, so I went with a Kenu since I own and very much like the previous generation Airframe+ . This one is marginally bigger because of the clip mechanism and swivel joint that increase the stability and convenience mounting big or heavy cell phones. Price point seems a bit high, but it for sure is not a cheaply-made product. This takes up very little footprint in your car and once clipped to your vent, it is very sturdy. Note that the vent itself may move, so heavier phones will tilt down due to gravity, and in most cases, that problem is solved by attaching toward the lower third of the phone so that it has little room to tilt before resting on the console face. Unfortunately, this one won't mount to any recessed vents, such as the center horizontal vents of a 2017 Lexus ES 350, where there's not enough clearance above or below for the shallow clips to grab onto something. If the vent clips were longer, it could protrude deeper into a recessed vent for secure contact.

Great Phone Holder
I really like this phone holder for my car. I had another one, but hubby kept taking it out of the vent for various reasons. If there is a downside to this product, once you get it set in the vent, leave it alone. It does not like to be removed and will lose it's "hold" on the vent fins. Otherwise, if you just leave it be, it works amazing. It grips my phone and make it easy for hands-free talking or navigating. It is compatible with a large array of phone sizes and grips well. My phone has never come out of the clasp and is easy to use. Highly recommend.

A wonderfully simple minimalist design that functions well
My Airframe Pro is still looking and performing like new after six years and on two different cars. Seriously. Can it wriggle off the vent? Sure, if I pull at it...However, I can place my phone (Pixel 8 Pro) in it with one hand and remove it one-handed without any issue. The clamp fastens securely to both horizontal and vertical vents, and the grip on the phone itself is strong, considering the holder's tiny footprint. The spring-action clamp can hold phones wider and larger than mine with no problem, and installing it is stupidly simple...there is a button to open the vent clamp, and that's it.

Poor quality product
I needed (and still do need) a vent car phone mount. My phone overheats easily in the summer heat, and I need the AC to cool it off while driving. Additionally, a law was recently passed in my state requiring all phones to be on a mount (or not used at all while driving). This mount was recommended by several websites as being one of the best. The description sounded exactly like what I needed. Unfortunately, I've been through TWO of these in the past couple of months. The first one broke just after the return period expired. The second one didn't even last a week, and I'm returning it today. The issue lies in the push button vent clip. The buttons are plastic. The vent clip legs are part of the same plastic. Between the button part and the leg part is an area where that plastic is too thin to withstand multiple button presses. This causes the buttons to break off from the legs, loosening the legs to the point that they won't stay attached, and the button itself simply falls out. This is what happend with both of these two mounts that I've owned. I'm going to try the Plus version (as opposed to this Pro version) to see if that one works better. From the pictures I've seen, the legs in the Plus version are metal instead of plastic. Unfortunately, I've already seen pictures where the rubber has worn off of the outside of the metal legs, so I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I just don't understand how a company can be thought so highly of, reported by several sites as being great (maybe even the best), and yet make expensive products that fall apart after very little use. If the Plus version fails me, I'll never be buying a Kenu brand product ever again.

Updated review
I recently took this on a business trip and left it in the rental car. I'm going to have to buy a new one because I loved it so much. There's not many things I'd be willing to buy a second time. So I really like this phone holder for my s8+ it holds strong and I never worry about my phone falling out. I love that it's small so if I'm not using it my entire vent is not blocked by it. Thy was one of the main reasons I took the gamble of spending the extra money. My only complaint is with my phone being so heavy it tends to droop down until my phone contacts the vent and then stops. I wish it had enough strength to hold the phone upright so it could be placed higher up in the holder and not tip so far forward. Overall I'm happy with it and if for whatever reason I broke it I'd be willing to buy another one although I believe they have a pretty fantastic warranty.

Good Clip, Some Issues But Kenu is a Good Seller...
Solid. Works well. Swivel is a bit loose but it when phone rests on bottom of vent, it provides enough support. UPDATE: Bit the dust after a couple of months!!! One jaw broke off and spring flew out with it. No abuse at all on my part. Came to car to find it sitting on the console next to spring. UPDATE: Kenu did get back to me on June 19, but I didn't see the message because Amazon's message center is, incredibly, deeply buried on the "Account Homepage" when it should be also linked in the Accounts & Links drop-down in the main navigation bar. But Amazon is not known for their stellar analytics/site optimization, as some of us know. Buyers and merchants suffer because of this. So I am adding back one star and will add another when Kenu sends me a new clip, as I am confident they will!
