Review: Great while ridding motorcycle. - I use this to hold my custom made earplugs in place., under my helmet, while riding my motorcycle. Over the years my earplugs have become less effective, because either my ear openings have gotten slightly larger or there may be some contraction of the earplug material itself. Once they come loose it causes a loud resonance which is like no protection at all. It will cause permanent damage to your hearing. So I've been looking for a product like this that would keep them in place. Because It has a mild stickiness to the cream it gives adhesion to keep the plugs in, but leaves no sticky residue after I take them out. The tube is a little on the small size, but you only use a tiny amount. It works very effectively for this purpose. Motorcycling is much more enjoyable and healthier when you can ride quieter.

This provides a solid seal of my ears and the plugs. I can still hear a little noise, but know I am getting the maximum protection available. I use a Stihl backpack leaf blower on a 1200-foot driveway, plus on several decks and other walkways, which takes 1 hour+ every time, and feel comfortable doing the work. I listen to lots of music so protecting my hearing is very important to me. I had to figure out how to most easily release the earplugs after use, as the crème does dry out a little. It took a little practice, but I've got it down.

**Q: Do you have to reapply after each use or does it last between uses? Can you apply it on only one part of the mold?**
A: Applu it to the mold area that goes in the ear. Do not put on the tip of aids or it will block  the signal. I recommend wiping off the cream at night when you place aids in theit container and reapply a new thin coat each day.

**Q: would this help if hearing device hurts bc tight fit in small ear**
A: This product is more to help keep the product in the ear, especially if the fit is too loose.For a tighter fit, you may want to try Oto-Ease, which is a lubricant which helps with insertion in to the ear and may reduce irritation if it is caused by the rubbing during insertion.You can find the product by inputting the following item number in the Amazon search area:B00THEWGAMTake care,Local Battery

**Q: Does this help keep the hearing aid from falling out?**
A: I tried to use it to lubricate silicone ear plugs.  It was too thick to use this way.  I don't know if it would work to hold a hearing aid in.

**Q: Shelf life for otoferm creme**
A: Been using it for 5+ years on a tiny tube,  and still works the same. Just dont heat it up

My child was having issues with feedback because she was outgrowing her hearing aid molds. We've been using this while waiting for her new molds to be made. It has helped immensely to keep her hearing aids in place and reduce feedback from sound leeching. It does leave a residue that requires a daily gentle soap scrub, but we'll worth the money.
